What information can you extract from listening to a river?

I research environments by performing both as participant and observant. The work is often generated by itself and the attendance of a participant. Auditive and linguistic aspects are applied to organise a happening-based strategy. Sound has the ability to arouse concentration and unify people. Walking, listening, recording and writing are the methods through which I capture and archive this. By organising moments of interruption, or by slowing things down and putting them into a new order, I question our involvement in space and how we pursue information. Performative scores, listening walks, audio compositions and live generated sound are examples of intentions to convene, both on a micro and macro level.
