In 'The Eternal Shortcoming' people tell about their experiences with homesickness and what their eternal shortcoming is

The story is about an old sailor who, each and every day, strolls around the coast in search of memories that mean something to someone. Whenever he finds one, he returns back home and adds the memory to his selfmade lighthouse. The sailor doesn’t have a lighthouse of his own, so he decided he would make one himself. The lighthouse has the same function for him as it once had for sailors on sea: it’s where they want to stay away from to not limit theirselves to this one place, but at the same time it’s a constant reminder of the place they can always return home to.
